Parkinson's clinical trials at NeuroClnx
Advancing research into Parkinson’s disease and how it affects movement, thinking and daily life

Supporting Parkinson's research
Noticing changes in movement can be worrying, whether it’s happening to you or someone close to you. Parkinson’s research helps us understand what’s happening and advances new approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
We run Parkinson’s clinical trials at our UK clinics in Glasgow and Warrington. Get in touch and we’ll talk you through what’s involved, and whether a trial could be right for you.
There’s no pressure to decide. Ask as many questions as you need and bring family or friends into the conversation if that helps.

What is Parkinson's disease?
Parkinson’s disease happens when the brain has less dopamine than it needs. This can lead to changes in movement, including tremor and shaking.
Common signs may include:
- Shaking or tremor
- Slowness of movement
- Muscle stiffness
- Problems with balance
- Feeling tired (fatigue)
- Sleep difficulties
- Changes in mood
- Changes in thinking or memory
Everyone is different. But if you’re concerned, it’s worth getting checked. You may be eligible to take part in a Parkinson’s UK clinical trial.
Why take part?
People take part in research for lots of reasons. Taking part could help you:
